On Monday, Januray 21, or 5 days ago, I got the bourkes and turquoisine! Yeah! I have been handling the turq. because otherwise it would sit in the cage all day while the bourkes chatter on with themselves. The bourkes are kinda wild so I have no need to handle them but the turq. She lost her mate a few years ago and she is quite lonely since none of these birds have toys and don't know what to do with the toys either. The only tow the bourkes seem they like is a rope perch to sit on so that doesn't help.

I am getting 5 birds although I already got one, a peach face lovebird. The other 4 are 3 bourkes parakeets and a turqoisine.

A lady came over to deliver a box of food and saw that I had 5 budgies. My mother told me to get Casey so I did. Then, Robin, (her name who brought the box), was talking about a bird and asked my mother if she wanted another bird, a cherry-headed conure. So my mother asked me and I said "Sure!" Well, I heard about the bird and what has happened to the bird. Robin has had the bird for about 5 years and before she got him/her the conure was attacked by a ferret that ripped some feathers from the conures stomach and head. The vet bill was too big so the bird was given to Robin. Noel (female bird) as I heard the name. Well, Noel was brought over, just cage, then other cage exesseries, but not the stand. Then Robin came in a truck bringing the stand. Now we have the cage together but it needs MAJOR cleaning. So I will do that as soon as I can. The cage though is black. I feel sorry for Noel because she/he has no belly feathers around the legs. She does have breast feathers though. Noel has a thing with hands... she is AFRAID of hands yet she has already sat on my hands and not notice, but she likes gloved hands a little better. That's the update for now!

Older news...
If I finish cleaning my room very soon then my mother AND now one of my aunts will both get me tiels and I will have 2! I think I rather have the money for the other tiel so I can have one and decide if I want another one later. I better clean my room up before my aunt comes out.

Update Nov. 11: She has come out already and left, I saw some breeder tiels in an ad in the BIG NICKEL. Tiels and supplies for 150$! I don't think I'll get them for certain reasons. Some are: They may have been bought already, I wont have my room finished in time, They may not sell them to me but maybe my mother since she would be the one buying them. I think they would sell the birds to me because many people think I'm older than I really am. Some think I'm 5 years older than my real age. I saw a sign at a petstore which said No kids in store under the age 15 unless accompanied by an adult. I guess the people there thought I was older than 15 and for one reason was how smart I was about things.

On October 11 or 12, 2001, I lost Sunshine, Cosmo's GF from an unknown reason. Now I have 5 birds, a turtle, and my sis's hamster.

Update Nov. 16: Last night, the 15th, I got Casey, a cockateil! I first saw her at 11:08pm. Casey is a handfed 'tiel that likes head scratches and likes being above the crowd. I'll post some pictures of Casey later!
